Street Fair Showcases the Best of Simi Valley
Make plans to attend the 2013 Simi Valley Street Fair presented by the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce. The annual community event which is FREE to the public, will be held on Saturday, May 11 from 9a.m. to 5p.m
For one day out of the year, the quarter-mile stretch of Cochran Street between Galena and Sequoia comes alive with more than 340 vendors made up of artists, crafters, business products, community organizations, commercial vendors, food booths, and plenty of product samples. In addition, the event will include non-stop entertainment, a beer garden, and plenty of activities for the kids.
“The Simi Valley Street Fair offers something for everyone and provides great exposure for businesses while affording them the opportunity to showcase their products and services to and an expected crowd of 20,000 attendees.” says event chair Jim Visage.
Returning to Street Fair this year will be the Emergency Expo presented by the Simi Valley Police Department. The Expo will feature live demonstrations, and include participation from several units from within Police Department, Simi Valley Environmental/Development Services Department, Ventura County Fire Department, Ventura County Public Health, US Coast Guard Auxiliary, Red Cross, and more.
In celebration of Healthy Kids Day, kids can play for Free at the very popular Kids Korner organized by The Simi Valley Family YMCA. And with the event being held on the day before Mother’s Day, shoppers can find the perfect gifts at affordable prices for the Moms in their lives.
Free parking for the event will be available in the Farmers Insurance parking lot as well as in the parking lot of Santa Susana High School.
