"The Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce promotes business in Simi Valley, through leadership, political
action, and services to increase opportunities for our members" is The Chamber's mission statement, and
for 50 years, The Chamber has provided these services to its members. The strength of The Chamber lies
in its membership, which creates a pool of resources from which ideas, manpower, and support can be drawn.
Members, consisting of small businesses, large companies, home-based businesses, and professional men and
women, work together to enhance the quality of life in Simi Valley.
What the Chamber Does |
 |
The Chamber functions as the headquarters for the business community by representing member businesses
before government bodies and conducting joint promotional activities. It provides an opportunity for members
to become directly involved in community issues and to express their views on developments that may affect
their business. The Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce is the voice of business in the Simi Valley City Council,
Sacramento and Washington, D.C.. Through our Government Review Council, we promote business interests at all
levels of government.
A Volunteer Organization |
 |
Members who serve as Directors and on various committees are business people who volunteer because they
believe in the effectiveness of The Chamber. Membership in The Chamber provides opportunities to become
involved in areas such as economic development, networking, advertising and legislative representation.
Chamber Participation |
 |
As a chamber member, you are part of an active, problem-solving organization. The Chamber serves as a
catalyst to resolve business problems and address local concerns. Members participate on committees in
order to have a positive impact on the quality of life for everyone. By working closely with government
and community leaders The Chamber is able to produce positive results that benefit not only chamber members
but the entire community.
