What was once started by the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce as the Simi Film Council has since spun-off into it's own organization. The Simi Valley Film Office is dedicated to representing commercial, residential, restaurants, schools and ranches as potential venues for television and motion picture productions.

The Simi Valley Film Office publishes The Film and Locations Guide, designed to highlight and feature Simi Valley’s premier filming locations and attractions. With a vast history of filming, Simi Valley once again offers an amazing back drop for any stage, while serving as a back lot for production. The charm of the community, coupled with the advantage of being in the zone, Simi Valley offers desirable film locations.

The Simi Valley Film Office is busy throughout the year with activities. They participate with a booth each year at the Global Locations Expo, produce the Film & Locations Guide and produce a very successful FAM Tour. The Familiarization (FAM) Tour is a one day tour of Simi Valley for film industry location managers and associated personnel.
