A ten-month program designed to develop leadership potential within the community and also highlight the leaders that make the community and the city operate.

Weekly highlight of one of the Restaurants in Simi Valley who are members of the Chamber. This program is designed to spread awareness of different restaurants in Simi Valley, to help spotlight and promote their business while encouraging the community to eat locally and try new restaurants at the same time!

This program was designed to encourage the community to Shop Local, Eat Local and Be Local. Ambassadors Committee Meet: First Wednesday, 8:00 AM

The Ambassadors of the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce are members that act as the welcoming arm of the Chamber and are the force behind our special events, ribbon cuttings, grand openings and Mixers. Ambassadors also “mentor” new members.
Automotive Council Meet: Fourth Thursday, 8:00 AM
Chair: Mac McKinley Board Liaison: Larry Hibbler Staff: John Tolson
Provide a forum for the Automotive Dealers to collaborate and promote the Simi Valley Auto Center and Shop Simi Valley First. Work to brand the “Simi Valley Auto Center” and promote shopping local through video projects, marketing, and other community outreach and support.
Economic Development Committee (EDC) Meet: Second Tuesday, 8:30 AM
Vice Chair: Jennifer Swenson Staff: John Tolson
The Economic Development Committee works on business attraction and retention with the City. The group addresses and assesses business concerns within Simi Valley and receives information from speakers regarding development within the City.
Emerging Leaders Meet: Varies
Chairs: Kailey Wagner/Ryan Valencia Staff: Amy Corneau
Emerging Leaders provides young professionals aged 21 – 40 in the Chamber with opportunities to build connections and work with other young professionals in the community. The Emerging Leaders meets for Coffee Breaks, Community Connections, and Happy Hour Hangouts- all once a month, rotating months.
Legislative Action Forum (LAF) Meet: Fourth Wednesday, 8:00 AM
Vice Chair: Melanie Vollbrecht Staff: Jim Vigdor
Reviews City, County, State and Federal legislation and analyzes its impact on business. Legislative Representatives give updates at meetings, sends a delegation to Sacramento to lobby for business, participates in legislative conference calls, and hosts Candidates forums for local, state and federal offices.
Senior Services Alliance
Networking group within the Chamber of members who service the senior demographic. Meet: Second Thursday, 8:00 AM
Tourism (SVCTA) Meet: Fourth Thursday, 10:00 AM
Chair: Board Liaison: Kathi Van Etten Staff: Layma Askarzoi
Promotes Simi Valley as a tourist destination to stimulate the local economy and increase room night stays. Focuses on tourism areas such as: weddings, filming, sports tournaments, etc. Produces visitor information, FAM tours, and more.
Leadership Steering Committee Meet: Third Tuesday, 8:00 AM
Chair: Lynn Hylton Board Liaison: Paul Goodnough Staff: Amy Corneau
Identifies and prepares future community leaders. Prepares, plans, and coordinates curriculum for Leadership classes, provides alumni directory, hosts monthly socials, participates in graduation ceremonies and coordinates program.

Special committee to discuss the planning of the annual Simi Valley Street Fair. Participants discuss layout, vendors, logistics, entertainment, and all other aspects of the event.
