The interactive program provides participants with a behind-the-scenes view of the issues and opportunities that impact the City of Simi Valley. The program is overseen by a steering committee led by Fred Bauermeister, ensuring that curriculum and experiences remain relevant, impactful, and aligned with community needs. Forge Your Path to Leadership
Leadership Simi Valley is a ten-month program created to develop emerging leaders and showcase the people and systems that keep our city running. It brings together individuals from diverse backgrounds who have shown a passion for community involvement and leadership potential.  Through a series of in-depth sessions, participants explore key areas including local, state, and federal government, business, education, law enforcement, health and human services, media, ethics, quality of life, and the rich history of Simi Valley.

You Can Make A Difference
Strong, energetic and ethical leadership is a key to any community. Since its incorporation in 1969, the city of Simi Valley has been fortunate to have had dedicated, responsible leadership. As the community grew, the need for additional leadership became apparent. In 1988, the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce took the lead and developed the Leadership Simi Valley program. The nine month program is designed to identify, develop and train individuals for future leadership roles by informing and cultivating the participant’s abilities. Leadership Simi Valley seeks a broad base of participants from all sectors of the community.
