Beginning April 7, 2021, Ventura County will move into the State's Orange Tier. In alignment with the state's reopening framework, masking, distancing and infection control practices remain in place.
Moving from the red tier into the orange tier for the County means: -Restaurants can open indoors with 50 percent capacity or a maximum of 200 people, whichever is fewer. For indoor performances, performers must wear face coverings and observe all other required modifications, and maintain distancing from spectators and other performers; performers are counted toward occupancy limit. -Gyms and fitness facilities (including martial arts, dance studios) can open indoors at 25 percent capacity; indoor pools can reopen when physical distancing can be maintained for non-household groups. Indoor hot tubs, saunas and steam rooms must remain closed. -Hair salons, barbershops and other personal services can open indoors with modifications -Movie theaters can open indoors with 50% max occupancy or 200 people, whichever is fewer. -Family entertainment centers can open indoors for naturally distanced activities like bowling alleys and escape rooms at 25% capacity while following guidance; kart facing, mini golf and batting cages are outdoors only with modifications. -Retail can open indoors at full capacity with modifications. -Shopping centers (including swap meets and indoor malls) can open indoors at full capacity with modifications. Common areas must remain closed and food courts are at reduced capacity. -Wineries, breweries and distilleries can open indoors at 25% max occupancy or 100 people, whichever is fewer. -Bars (where no meals are served) can open outdoors with modifications. If a bar serves food, they can follow the restaurant guidance. -Museums, zoos and aquariums can open indoors with 50% max capacity. -Hotels and lodging fitness centers can open indoors with 25% capacity and indoors pools can open at 25% max capacity. -Offices can open indoors with modification, with telework encouraged. -Outdoor live events can open at 20% capacity. Reservations and assigned seating only, and regional attendees only (120-mile radius of venue) -Gatherings (effective April 15, 2021) are permitted outdoors with a maximum of 50 people. Indoor gatherings are strongly discouraged but allowed with modifications at a max capacity of 25% in settings where capacity exists or 25 people, whichever is fewer. -Private events (effective April 15, 2021) are permitted outdoors with a maximum of 100 people. If all guests are tested or show proof of full vaccination, outdoor private events can have a maximum of 300 people. Private events are permitted indoors if all guests are tested or show proof of full vaccination with a maximum of 150 people.
